For Water Tank Rehabilitation Huntsville Utilities The scope of work includes the construction of two million gallon elevated water tank (Greenbrier MTM Tank). The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment and transportation necessary to perform the construction called for under this contract in a timely, safe, and professional manner. Bidder instructions, including pre-bid meeting and contractor questionnaire details, are provided in the bid documents. The estimated date for the Notice to Proceed to be issued is December 1, 2022. The project must be complete by March 31, 2023. Bidder Qualification Forms concerning capabilities to perform the work must be submitted at the bid opening. Bids will be accepted only from qualified General Contractors licensed by the State of Alabama. Only bids of such Contractors who are licensed prior to the date of the bid opening will be considered. Contractors name and Alabama License number must be printed on the outside of each sealed bid. A cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities for an amount not less than 5% of the contractor's bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, will be required to accompany each contractor's bid. A performance bond, a payment bond, a maintenance bond and insurance will be required prior to execution of the contract.
