Site work, renovation and addition to a clubhouse / community center in Wilmington, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a clubhouse / community center; and for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Construction of a new gymnasium at the MLK Community Center that will include a high school regulation sized basketball court, two motorized goals, four retractable goals, two scoreboards, a motorized divider curtain, volleyball, pickle-ball, wrestling, safety padding for walls and backstops, adequate storage for all intended programming needs, full commercial kitchen, additionalrestrooms, and office space. All firms submitting bids for the proposed work must be properly licensed under Chapter 87, N. C. General Statutes. The bidders license number must appear on the outside of the envelope. In accordance with the City of Wilmingtons Minority/Disadvantaged Business Policy, the bidder shall make good faith efforts, as defined by the Bid Specifications, to subcontract 14% of the dollar value of the prime contract to businesses which are at least 51% owned and controlled by minority, socially, and/or economically disadvantaged individuals (MBE/WBE/HUB/DBEs). A complete copy of the City of Wilmingtons MBE/WBE/HUB/DBE policy is available for inspection at the Purchasing Managers Office. Potential Subcontract opportunities which may exist on this project include, but may not be limited to: Hauling, Electrical, Landscaping, Excavation, Site Work, Concrete, Masonry, Asphalt Paving, Carpentry, Painting, Utilities, Flooring and Installation, Signage, HVAC, Plumbing, Drywall, Pest Control, Communications, Suppliers and other items not specifically referenced herein.
