The City of Goodyear (City) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified professional design firms (Consultant) to be considered for master planning/concept study and possibly design services for the Goodyear Ballpark Seating Analysis. Only Consultants capable of providing the requested professional service will receive consideration. All processes will be conducted in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes, ARS, Title 34. The consultant will be chosen through a qualifications-based selection process. PROJECT OVERVIEW The Goodyear Ballpark is preparing to replace approximately 8,000 fixed seats. The City is soliciting for a firm to complete a comprehensive evaluation of the ballparks current seating capacity and number of seats within multiple pricing levels to develop concepts with the intent to increase ticket sales, incorporate sponsorship activation and drive concessions revenue. BACKGROUND Goodyear Ballpark located at 1933 S. Ballpark Way, is the spring training and player development home of the Cleveland Guardians Baseball Company, Limited Partnership (Cleveland Guardians), and the Cincinnati Reds, LLC (Cincinnati Reds). The City, Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds are dedicated to providing superior facilities and services for residents, guests, facility users and fans alike, by creating a unique ballpark experience that is unparalleled in spring training baseball facilities. The City and the Cleveland Guardians have executed a twenty (20) year lease agreement beginning with the inaugural Cactus League season in 2009. The City and the Cincinnati Reds have executed a twenty (20) year lease agreement beginning with the 2010 Cactus League season. In addition to Cactus League Baseball activities, the facility also hosts year-round community signature events such as youth, amateur, high school and college baseball tournaments, holiday festivals, arts and crafts shows, corporate events, concerts and much more. It is the Citys intent to market and maximize usage opportunities on a year-round basis.
