Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Georgetown, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Georgetown is accepted sealed bids for the construction project: Stonewall Ranch Booster Pump Station Improvements. The project consists of furnishing, installing and providing all labor, materials and equipment required for the Pump Station Improvements. There are currently two (2) existing 250 HP horizontal split case pumps. A third (redundant) pump and associated valves and piping will be installed. The new pump will be installed on a variable frequency drive (VFD). Additionally, the two existing VFDs will be replaced. Additional improvements will include replacement of the existing fill control valve and manhole/vault, building louver and supply fan improvements and installation of a new emergency electrical generator with applicable electrical improvements. Bidders submitting bids through the E-bid System shall scan and up-load a copy of their Bid Security (sealed Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check ) as an attachment to their electronic bid. Original documents for Bid Security will be requested by the City from the lowest two bidders and delivered to the City's Purchasing Buyer within 48 business hours of the Bid Opening. Bid Security shall be postmarked and mailed to: City Purchasing Office, Georgetown Municipal Complex, 300-1 Industrial Ave, Georgetown, Texas 78626. Each bid must be accompanied by cash or a certified cashier's check, drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, payable to the City of Georgetown in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into. In lieu of cash or a certified check, the Bidder may submit a bid bond in the form prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders.Performance and Payment Bonds, when required, shall be executed on forms furnished by OWNER. Each bond shall be issued in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount by a solvent surety or insurance company licensed to do business in the State of Texas and as specifically prescribed in the General Conditions and Supplemental Conditions. Minimum insurance requirements are specified in the General Conditions and Supplemental Conditions. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors shall pay to laborers, workmen, and mechanics the prevailing wage rates as required by the Supplemental Conditions. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive minor technicalities, and to award a contract or contracts which, in the opinion of the Owner, appear to be in its best interest. A minor technicality is one that does not affect the competitiveness of the Bid. The Owner reserves the right to hold any or all proposals for the period of time from the opening of bids as specified in Section 00300, Bid Form. Effective January 1, 2016, Texas Government Code Section 2252.908 requires persons who enter into contract with a government entity to submit a disclosure of interested parties (Form 1295) to the governmental entity or state agency at the time the business entity submits the signed contract to the governmental entity or state agency. The law applies only to a contract of a governmental entity or state agency that either (1) requires an action or vote by the governing body of the entity or agency before the contract may be signed or (2) has a value of at least $1 million. The construction time shall be as noted in the Pre-Bid Minutes (460 days for Substantial Completion and 490 days for Final Completion. questions will be addressed until 12:00 pm (noon) on Friday, March 10, 2023.
