Project Location: NE 103rd and 104th Streets, Vancouver, Washington Preliminary Plans for Upcoming Project - Not for Bidding or Construction The District would like to make contractors aware of the Curtin Creek SEP project that is expected to advertise this winter for spring/summer 2023 construction. Background: The project will install approximately 5,000 lf of 8-inch gravity sewer, over 70 laterals and 23 manholes in the Sunset Strip neighborhood. Sewer depths generally range between 8 and 15. Groundwater could be encountered in some areas. Soils in the area are known to be sandy with silt. A summary of the geotechnical findings is included with the preliminary plans. Positive pressure, engineered shoring may be required to protect existing infrastructure. The District is planning to advertise in January and award the construction contract in early March. Federal and state grants have been secured for the project. -The $700,000 state grant has a deadline of June 30, 2023. The District is therefore aiming to spend a minimum of $700,000 on construction by the deadline. -The federal grant currently has no deadline.
