New Braunfels Utilities ("NBU") is soliciting Request for Bids ("RFB") for Sam C. McKenzie, Jr. Water Reclamation Facility Headworks Conveyor and Discharge Outfall Replacement. BID Bond: YES Performance Bond: YES Payment Bond: YES Each bid must be accompanied by an approved Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid cost, payable to NBU without recourse, as a guarantee bidder will enter into a contract at the stated price. The successful bidder must execute 100% performance and payment bonds on the forms provided within ten (10) days after the contract has been awarded. The Bid Bond accompanying the bid of the apparent successful bidder will be retained until the contract is awarded and successful bidder executes the contract and furnishes the required bonds and insurance, after which the Bid Bond will be returned to the bidder. All other Bid Bonds will be returned after the bid award. Questions regarding this RFB or the services requested must be sent to the Purchasing Manager at purchasing@nbutexas.com NBU reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all formalities not involving price, time, or changes in the work with the successful bidder, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional bids. NBU also reserves the right to reject the bid of any bidder if NBU believes that bidder has not demonstrated that bidder is a responsible bidder. Discrepancies between the indicated sum of any column of figures and the correct sum thereof will be resolved in favor of the correct sum The work consists of providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and plant to construct the Sam C. McKenzie, Jr. Water Reclamation Facility Headworks Conveyor and Discharge Outfall Replacement for New Braunfels Utilities. The work includes, but is not limited to: demolition, salvage, hauling, and disposal of existing belt conveyor and concrete repair as detailed in the contract documents; procurement, installation, startup/testing, etc. of new screw conveyor, as detailed in the contract documents; outfall repairs omplete and in place as detailed in the contract documents; conduit and wire; site security and access items; all required electrical and instrumentation work; controls; demolition items as specified on the construction drawings; temporary facilities and all incidental components as shown on the construction drawings and contract documents necessary to construct, tie-in and make for a complete and operational system.
