The Town of Cheraw is seeking an engineering firm to assist with downtown redevelopment projects. The Town of Cheraw is seeking a qualified full-service engineering firm to assist redevelopment efforts in downtown Cheraw. The selected firm would assist with projects in downtown Cheraw on an as needed basis for a period of 3 years. An addendum will be issued on January 20 th to address any questions that may arise during the response period. The Town of Cheraw has made the redevelopment of its downtown a policy priority over the last several years. The Town completed a Downtown Master Plan in 2021 and seeks the assistance of an engineering firm to assist in the development and implementation of projects. Over the last several years downtown Cheraw has started the process of redevelopment which has revealed impediments to the continued growth of the area. Projects are varied and include but are not limited to downtown infrastructure, demolition of buildings, planning for pedestrian projects, assisting with projects in DOT right of ways etc... Projects are dependent on available funding. The Town of Cheraw reserves the right to accept or reject any, all or any part of offers received as a result of this request, to negotiate with all engineering firms, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this RFQ if it is in the best interest of the Town of Cheraw. RFQs will be reviewed by the Cheraw Planning Commission to determine the most qualified respondent. The selection will be made based solely on the qualifications of the firm and experience with similar projects. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
