Contractor Qualification Highway Division The Work of this Contract shall be performed at the existing site of the George C. Sullivan Field located at the northwest corner of Revere Beach Boulevard and Revere Street in Revere, MA. Broad Sound of the Atlantic Ocean and Revere Beach border the east side of Revere Beach Boulevard opposite the project site. Diamond Creek is a tidal creek that runs parallel to the west side of the project site and is separating from the project site by a linear parcel of land owned by National Grid. A. Furnish all labor, material, equipment and incidentals required to construct the site improvements as shown on the Drawings and as specified herein. B. Examine all Contract Documents and all other Sections of the Specifications for requirements therein affecting the work of this trade. C. The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: 1. Installing and maintaining sedimentation and erosion controls as required by all federal, state, and local codes. 2. Tree removal; stripping and stockpiling loam. 3. Sawcutting and removal of pavement and curbing, general excavation. 4. Removing and disposing of existing chain link fencing. 5. Installing new bituminous concrete and concrete pavements, pavers, and resilient safety surfacing; installing new granite retaining wall. 6. Installing new fitness equipment, bocce courts, benches, tables, bicycle parking, trash receptacles, and signage. Installing new shade shelter. 7. Installing new water feature with water jets, plumbing, and control cabinet. 8. Installing electrical service and new site lights; demolition and relocation of utility poles. 9. Installing new granite curbing and curb ramps. 10. New planting; lawn and conservation mix seeding; irrigation system. 11. Miscellaneous work as noted on the Drawings. The project consists of reconstruction of an existing park including removal of existing pavement, fencing, trees, lawn, and topsoil; construction of new concrete and bituminous pavements and pavers; installation of new fitness equipment and pouredin-place rubber safety surfacing, site furnishings, shade shelter, lighting, granite walls, signage piers, and curbing; and installation of an irrigation system, new interactive water feature, and new planting and seeding.
