Contractors are invited to submit a bid for the construction of Modernization of Housing 2020 & 2021 CFP - Interior Improvement @ Site LA69-4. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the Classification of General Contractor. Each bona fide bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38: 2212(A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA R.S. 38:2214 or without the consent of the Housing Authority. The Work for this project is generally described as selective demolition of existing interior finishes including casework, wall finishes, doors and frames, and including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing fixtures and devices. The work shall also include the cleaning and repair of the interior finishes, fixtures, casework and replacement of doors and frames in the living units indicated. Additionally, the work shall include the installation of floor and wall finishes, casework, doors and frames, and electrical, mechanical, and plumbing devices and fixtures as well as other miscellaneous elements necessary and required work for proper installation as described in the specifications and construction documents. Bids shall be a Stipulated Sum basis as per the original documents. The Owner requires the Architect to issue Substantial Completion of the Work on or before 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Thereafter, liquidated damages will be charged. A Bid Security (a certified check or bank draft made payable to the Housing Authority, U. S. Government Bonds, or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable Sureties) in the amount of 5% of the highest possible bid amount is required. Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submittal. Submit bids on the Bid Form provided. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the specifications under the Davis-Bacon Act must be paid on this project. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Bidders should be aware that the project is funded by Capital Fund Program of the Department of Housing & Urban Development of the Government of the United States. Sub-bidders may obtain copies of Bidding Documents from prime contractor's or by registering with OFA for electronic pdf documents. Bidding Documents are available, for review only, at the Central Office of the Housing Authority. No copies will be provided to any contractor from the office of the Housing Authority. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. o PRE-BID CONFERENCE- A Pre-Bid conference will be scheduled by addendum.
