Demolition and site work for a residential development in Alton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

Each sealed envelope containing a response must be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope with the respondent's name, proper address, and BID #2023 - 05 DEMOLITION. All responses must be made on the forms provided. All blank spaces must be filled in, in ink or typewritten, and the bid forms must be fully completed and executed and signed by an authorized individual. Any questions regarding this bid should be directed to Lori Bockholdt, Comptroller's Office, City of Alton (618) 463-3545. Copies of the Asbestos Abatement report(s) will be provided upon request. The City cannot accept your bid response via fax. The City of Alton reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids, or any part thereof, on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim or cause of action by any unsuccessful bidder against the City of Alton, Illinois. The City further reserves the right to accept any bid or any part thereof, or to waive any informalities and to make an award in its best interest The Contractor shall commence the work required by the project as soon as possible after the date of the "Notice to Proceed" and shall complete the work within thirty (30) calendar days of said notice unless the period for completion is extended otherwise by the contract. Should Contractor fail to complete all aspects of the bid project within forty (40) days after the date of the "Notice to Proceed", the Contractor shall owe a late fee in the sum of One-Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each day thereafter until the bid project is deemed complete by the City. Said sum may be withheld by City from the contract price otherwise payable to Contractor to cover the total late fee. The project consists of the complete demolition and removal and disposal of any existing buildings, fences and similar appurtenances located on the premises. The foundation, footing and basement floors shall be completely removed from the demolition site and disposed of at an approved disposal site. Any cisterns or similar reservoirs found on the premise are to be removed.
