Purpose of Request Warren County, North Carolina, through this Request for Proposals (RFP), is seeking a qualified planning firm to provide assistance with planning services for a multi-modal pathway to connect the municipalities of Macon, Norlina, and Warrenton. This side path would run alongside Highways 158 Bypass and Business, as well us U.S. Hwy 401. Planning would also take into consideration connection into a mobility hub/train station for a future S-Line passenger rail stop in the Town of Norlina. Project Support County support will be led by the Director of Community & Economic Development with support from other county staff from departments including, but not limited to: the County Manager, Planning & Zoning, Public Utilities, Public Works, and Parks & Recreation. Recommendations from the firm on necessary input and engagement from other county departments, as well as state entities and other local organizations, is encouraged. Cost and proprietary information not labeled as such could be subject to disclosure. Warren County Reserves the right to accept or reject a proposal without a stated cause. Furthermore, Warren County reserves the right to terminate, restructure, or amend the stated process at any time.
