Site Directions: Hillcrest Road between Black River Road and Horseshoe Lake Avenue. The Project consists of adding base course to the road, then pulverizing and relaying Hillcrest Road between Black River Road and Horseshoe Lake Avenue. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. The bid proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid price, payable to the Town of Chelsea, as a guarantee that the bidder, if bid is accepted, we will execute and file the proper contract and 100 percent performance and payment bonds within 15 days after the Notice of Award. In case the Bidder fails to file such contract and required bonds, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Town of Chelsea as liquidated damages. Letting of contracts will be subject to Section 66.0901 Wisconsin Statutes, Public Works, Contracts, and Bids. The Town of Chelsea reserves the right to waive any formalities in the preparation of a bid and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the scheduled time of bid opening.
