Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in La Vista, Nebraska. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.
The existing swimming pool is located immediately adjacent to the site where a pedestrian underpass will be constructed to connect Central Park and Central Park West. In order to facilitate the underpass connection and utilize the space west of 84th Street it is necessary to demolish the existing pool. A $5M federal earmark for the project has been awarded and, as such, the pool demolition needs to be programmed to facilitate construction. This project is in included in the City of La Vista FY 2023 - 2027 CIP. As of December 30, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
