Questions Due Date: Jan 13th 2023, 11:00 AM CST Road Reconstruction at West Gulf Bank Road I-45 to Airline Drive for Harris County Precinct 2 - UPIN#19101MF0XV01 ROAD LOG NO. 2X35402, 2X35403, 2X35401 Located in Harris County Precinct 2, the project proposes to reconstruct the existing twolane asphalt road along West Gulf Bank as a divided boulevard with four 11-foot travel lanes, a 24-foot median, and 8-foot sidewalk along each side. The project is approximately 1.1 miles long and extends from east of the IH-45 Northbound Frontage Road to approximately 300 feet east of Airline Drive. Additional roadway, drainage, and utility improvements to be performed include, but are not limited to, the following: o Temporary traffic control in accordance with the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. o Implementation of storm water pollution prevention plan. o Clearing and grubbing within the limits of roadway reconstruction and channel regrading from right-of-way line to right-of-way line. o Roadway pavement with curb and driveways consisting of 10-inch thick reinforced concrete pavement and 8-inch thick lime-stabilized subgrade. Asphalt transitions at all asphaltic side streets. o 11-foot turn lanes at various intersections. o Mill and Overlay of approximately 300 feet along West Gulf Bank near eastern limit of project. o Underground storm sewer system along each side of West Gulf Bank primarily consisting of box culverts ranging from 4'x2' to 8'x4'. Inlets, manholes, and junction boxes are also included. o Replacing the P118-27-00 channel crossing with two 10'x8' box culverts, constructing wingwalls with pedestrian rails, and regrading the channel approximately 300 feet. o Traffic signals at three intersections and new curb ramps. o Relocation of City of Houston water line and force main. o Relocation of Sunbelt Freshwater Supply District water line and force main. o Permanent signing and striping in accordance with Harris County Pavement Marking Details and the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
