Renovation of a water / sewer project in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Timber Creek Lift Station was installed by a housing developer as a privately owned pumping station. In an effort to save money, the station is inferior and is not constructed to City standards. Due to many issues over the years, the City took over ownership of the station to provide some reliability to the residents that it serves. The station is a source of many issues and is of concern to the City that damage may occur to homes in the event of a backup. Replacement of the station with a new one that meets current City specifications will eliminate the concerns. As of January 23, 2025, this project is included in the City of Eau Claire's Fiscal Year 2025-2029 CIP. Further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been awarded yet. Funding is allotted for FY 2026 and 2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
