The scope of work is fully understood, to answer any questions, to clarify the intent of the Contract Documents and to resolve any problems that may affect the project construction. Bid documents, insurance and bond requirements shall also be discussed. All attendees are encouraged to use this time to ask questions for clarification of any bid documents, and to hear the answers to such questions. No addendum shall be issued at this meeting, but subsequent thereto, the Authoritys Design Professional, if necessary, shall issue an addendum to clarify the intent of the Contract Documents or Scope. The Authority in making copies of Bidding Documents available does so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids on the Scope of Work and does not confer a license or grant permission for any other use. The Authority reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and to negotiate contract terms with the Apparent Successful Bidder, and the right to disqualify all nonconforming, nonresponsive or conditional Bids. Discrepancies between words and figures shall be resolved in favor of words. Discrepancies between the indicated sum of any column of figures and the correct sum thereof shall be resolved in favor of the correct sum. In case of underpayment of wages by the Contractor or by any subcontractors to laborers or mechanics employed by the Contractor or Subcontractor upon the Work covered by the Contract, the Authority, in addition to such other rights as may be afforded it under this Contract, shall withhold from the Contractor, out of any payments due the Contractor, so much thereof as the Authority, may consider necessary to pay such laborers or mechanics the full amount of wages required of this Contract. The amount so withheld may be disbursed by the Authority for and on account of the Contractor or the Subcontractor (as may be appropriate), to the respective laborers and mechanics to whom same is due or on their behalf to plans, funds, or programs for any type of fringe benefit prescribed in the applicable wage determination. 5886 All questions and/or inquiries shall be sent via online no later than 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 13th, 2023.
