Renovation of a municipal facility in Portland, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
THE PROJECT SHALL BE BID AND CONSTRUCTED UNDER ONE LUMP SUM CONTRACT WITH THE OWNER AS DELINEATED IN THE SUMMARY OF WORK IN THE SPECIFICATIONS. BIDDERS SHALL ENCLOSE WITH EACH BID PACKAGE BID, INDIANA BID FORM NO. 96, COMPLETED ALTERNATES FORM, AND NON-COLLUSION AFFIDAVIT. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS SHALL BE REQUIRED TO FURNISH A PERFORMANCE BOND FOR 105% OF THEIR FULL CONTRACT AMOUNT INCLUDING ALL ACCEPTED ALTERNATES PRIOR TO EXECUTION OF THEIR CONTRACTS. PERFORMANCE BONDS SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND IN EFFECT FOR A PERIOD OF AT LEAST 12 MONTHS AFTER THE DATE OF FINAL COMPLETION AND FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE WORK PROVIDED UNDER THE CONTRACTORS CONTRACT. THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT EACH AND EVERY BID, TO WAIVE INFORMALITIES, IRREGULARITIES, AND ERRORS IN THE BIDDING, AND TO MAKE SELECTION BASED ON THE MOST RESPONSIBLE PACKAGE TO THE OWNER. THIS INCLUDES THE RIGHT TO EXTEND THE DATE AND TIME FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS IN THE EVENT THAT RESPONSIBLE BIDS ARE NOT RECEIVED OR IF IT IS DETERMINED THAT THE SUM OF RESPONSIBLE BIDS RECEIVED IS TOO HIGH, THE BIDS RECEIVED WILL BE REJECTED AND THE PROJECT WILL BE REVISED AND OR RE-BID. NO BIDDER MAY WITHDRAW THEIR BID WITHIN THE 60 CALENDAR DAYS AFTER THE BID OPENING. BIDS SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN INDIVIDUAL SEALED ENVELOPES TITLED FOR THIS PROJECT COMPLETELY AND PROPERLY EXECUTED, ADDRESSED TO JAY COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY, SUBMITTED ON THE FORMS PROVIDED (OR A FACSIMILE THEREOF), TOGETHER WITH THE OTHER DOCUMENTS REQUIRED BY THE INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.
