The City of Winston-Salem is inviting the submittal of responses to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified firms interested in assisting the City with options and providing specifications for: 1) upgrading and replacing existing access control equipment, 2) point of sale equipment, 3) video security systems, and 4) technology upgrades for parking garages/surface lot and on-street parking spaces. A. The selected firm will work with City staff to develop specifications for replacement of existing access control equipment, point of sale equipment, video security systems, and technology upgrades for parking garages and a surface lot. The selected firm may also provide construction and inspection services. B. The selected firm will also work with City staff to develop specifications for technology upgrades to on-street parking spaces including pay-by-phone applications. C. Upon the initial selection of a Respondent based upon qualifications, with which negotiations will proceed, a Scope of Work will be developed. D. The City of Winston-Salem anticipates a contract which will include written specifications, schematic designs, production of computer-generated renderings, and cost estimations for each option and phase of the project; however, the City of Winston-Salem reserves the right to include additional project elements in the initial or subsequent professional services agreements as the City of Winston-Salem may (in its sole discretion) deem appropriate. Contract Negotiation = January 16-30 (2 weeks); Board Approval = February 20; Contract Execution = February 20-March 17 (4 weeks); Begin work date = approx. April 3, 2023.
