The city of emporia intends to enter into a contract with a qualified contractor for a 30' by 60' addition to the existing public works building located at 1921 sunnyside road, emporia, virginia. The addition is a pre-engineered metal building matching the existing in roof slope, width, eave height and exterior materials. Addition will also contain a new concrete floor slab, new interior lighting, gas unit heater for the new space, and three power-operated coiling doors. The end wall of the existing building will be removed to permit free access to the addition. Exterior work for the project will consist of grading for the new slab and foundation and rework of existing finish grade to divert water away from the new structure. The contractor shall provide all necessary administration, materials, labor, and components required for the project construction in accordance with the invitation for bid and the drawings, as designed by architectural partners.
