As of July 6, 2023, construction commenced as of the first week of April, 2023, however, an exact timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Public Works Bid Schedule A - Central Services Center - Phase 1 Additions and Renovations Furnishing all the labor, materials, equipment, and doing all the work necessary for the construction and completion of the Central Services Center Additions and Renovations located at 2200 US-51, Janesville WI. Base bid will include approximately 60,000 square feet of new construction and 72,000 square feet of various renovations to portions of the existing facility. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: excavation/sitework, cast-in-place concrete, reinforced concrete, precast concrete, metal fabrications, masonry, aluminum doors and windows, overhead section doors, trench drains, steel joist and decking, miscellaneous metal framing, metal wall panels, hollow metal doors/frames, painting, EPDM roofing, finishes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, site and utility work, and others. The base bid shall be lump sum. A Few Alternate Bids and Unit Prices will be required. The determination of the lowest responsible and best bid will be decided by the City Engineer, subject to review by the City Council. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. If applicable, Federal Davis Bacon wage rates are included in the Contract Documents, as well as on file in the City Clerk's Office.
