Jensen Scholastic Academy Various Trades Vendor (over $25,000 vendors) PLA for work over 25K Questions Due Date: Jan 3rd 2023, 9:30 PM CST Specification # (if applicable): (Type of Project: MCR, ROF, MEP, etc.) Doors and locks replacement for classrooms. Remove, furnish, and install 118 new hollow metal, fire rated doors and frames and all associated locking hardware. Furnish, install, and combinate keying system. 1) Remove and dispose of (118) existing doors and frames. 2) Furnish and install (118) new hollow metal, fire-rated doors, and associated framing. 3) Furnish and install (118) new mortise-type locksets and appropriate ADA required hardware. 4) Furnish, install, and adjust new automatic door closers for each door. 5) Furnish and install hold-opens for each door, appropriate to each location installation. 6) Furnish and install new kick plates for each furnished door. 7) Furnish and install new crash bars on hallway doors and doors leading to stairwells for appropriate locations. 8) Remove and install a new stationary panel or fixed panel door to existing doors for appropriate locations. 9) Paint all unfinished surfaces per discretion of the building administration. Furnish color chart to building administration within one week of successful notice of award. 10) Furnish, install, and key new cylinders per specifications of building administration. Keying system to be agreed upon by building administration. May include key grand mastering, section mastering, housekeeping mastering, etc. 11) Furnish (2) keys per cylinder and (100) keys for building attic stock. 12) Furnish new key combinator machine or key cutting machine as appropriate to this installation. 13) Furnish (2) copies of the keying specifications upon project close-out. 14) Demonstrate functionality of all installed items and best practices upon completion of project. 15) Successful bidder to schedule work with building administration, starting no later than 30 days after notice of award unless otherwise instructed. 16) Contractor to keep owner apprised of all long-lead items and minimize delays as much as possible. 17) Contractor to secure necessary permits. 18) Contractor to field verify dimensions and specifics of all projects listed above before placing bid. 19) Not responsible for contractor errors as a result of non-field verification. 20) Materials and installation must comply with all CPS Standards and Specifications associated with the scope of this project. 21) If building or CPS properties are damaged during construction, contractor to replace and/or repair as necessary. 22) Provide necessary labor and materials to fix/correct issues preventing any or all of the projects to be marked as completed. 23) All work shall be coordinated with the Board authorized representatives to complete in an agreed upon time frame. 24) Contractor is to remove and dispose of materials torn out and any construction debris. 25) All trash must be removed off-site by contractor. 26) Clean the surrounding area and make sure all is swept of debris. 27) All questions/requests must be received two (2) business days prior to bid closing.
