Site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Wahoo, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the addition of a 80,000-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; and for the renovation of a 110,000-square-foot educational facility.
This project includes new construction and renovation of the existing Wahoo Middle-High School located on their current campus at 2201 N Locust St in Wahoo, Nebraska. The new construction is approximately 80,000 SF and composed of high school classrooms, administrative offices, commons, gymnasium, lab space for career technology education (CTE), and support programs. The renovation scope is approximately 110,00 SF and includes the replacement of existing mechanical, lighting systems and equipment, new ceilings, new locker rooms, training room, concessions, and cafeteria servery. This project is designed to meet the expanding needs of the High School and Middle School programs. New construction is a two-story precast and braced frame steel structure. The entrances will be constructed of braced steel frame, structural stud framing, and masonry or metal panel cladding assemblies. There are proposed metal panel accents throughout, and perforated screen structure surrounding the new equipment yard. Design includes all engineering for civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, low-voltage and fire protection systems. Fundamental commissioning of the building mechanical systems and controls will be required for the scope of work. Owner provided furniture, AV and IT equipment, CTE lab equipment including (but not limited to) vehicle lifts, compressors, shop equipment, video display features, and security systems and equipment shall be coordinated by the Construction Manager. *Please note that the listed value reflects the entire scope of work.
