Renovation of a fire / police facility in Rockport, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The TOWN OF ROCKPORT acting through the Department of Public Works is soliciting proposals from professional architectural firms to provide the necessary professional services required for the preparation of bidding and contracting documents and construction administration for the preservation and rehabilitation of the Pigeon Cove Fire Station at 118 Granite Street in Rockport, Massachusetts. As part of the scope of services the Consultant is to perform a detailed investigation into the condition of the exterior envelope of the existing building based on, and to verify, the work items indicated in the attached needs assessment as well as facilitate preparation of the necessary drawings and specifications required to successfully bid and complete the required work. Interested firms may respond to the RFQ. A single Designer Selection Committee will evaluate responses to the RFQ and recommend finalists to the awarding authority, the Board of Selectmen. The Town Administrator/Chief Procurement Officers will negotiate with the selected finalist(s) The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
