Sealed bids will be solicited jointly by the public bodies listed above for approximately fifteen thousand (15,000) tons, more or less, of crushed stone of various sizes to meet Portal department of highway specifications. Cash, certified check, or bid bond drawn to the order of the borough of hanover Shall accompany each proposal in an amount of not less than ten (10%) percent Of the total bid price with same being tendered in good faith as bid security. All Bid bonds will be accepted electronically, and therefore eliminates the need for Hard copies of the bid bonds to be physically returned, but will be kept in good Faith until an agreement and performance bond are executed by the successful Bidder. In the event the successful bidder fails to execute a contract and Provide a performance bond listing all municipalities on the bond, as required, Then bid security as tendered by the successful bidder shall become the Property of the borough of hanover to cover any loss or damage which might Occur to the borough of hanover and/or the public bodies as a result of the Failure of the successful bidder to comply with the requirements set forth Herein. The successful bidder shall furnish, within twenty (20) days after award of the Contract, a standard performance bond in the principal sum of one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price, listing all municipalities on the bond. The public bodies reserve the right to reject any or all bids. Clarification deadline - 1/25/2023 4:00 PM
