The Town of Holliston is seeking to remove and replace the existing worn sidewalk on both sides of Washington Street adjacent to the downtown area. Total sidewalk length on Washington Street, both eastbound and westbound, is 2,866 linear feet. Sidewalks are to be 5 feet wide. 2,480 linear feet of VA4" granite curbing is to be installed along the street side of the sidewalk. Three existing crosswalks crossing Washington Street at Quincy Place, Austin Place and School Street will need two concrete ADA ramps with detectable warning panels per crosswalk (6 ramps in total) installed. An existing grass strip between the sidewalk and the street from Quincy Place to 917 Washington St (westbound side) is to be removed and paved to the full width of the sidewalk. Starting at 841 Washington Street and ending at Pearl Street on the westbound side of Washington Street (RT. 16). Starting at Pine Street and ending at 838 Washington Street on the Eastbound side of Washington Street (RT. 16).
