Site work and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Minooka, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; for outdoor lighting for a educational facility; playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.

Estimated budget: between $100,000 and $300,000 The Minooka Community School District No. 111 (hereinafter the "District") is issuing this Request for Proposals for sports lighting for The Minooka Community High School Football Relight project. It is understood that there are and will be differences between products, product features, and manufacturers. No Bid forwarded by mail or messenger will be accepted unless received before the scheduled time for opening bids. Proposals will be publicly opened immediately after the deadline. The method of transmittal of the proposal is at the proposer's risk of untimely receipt by the district. The district will not be responsible for delays in delivery by UPS, FedEx, Airborne or any other carrier the vendor chooses. Faxed copies are not acceptable. Proposal must be submitted in the format outlined in this section. Tabs must identify each section. Every proposal will be reviewed to determine if it is complete prior to actual evaluation. The District reserves the right to eliminate from further consideration anyproposal deemed to be substantially or materially unresponsive to the requests for information contained herein. The Minooka Community School District No. 111 will be solely responsible for the evaluation of all proposals. A contract will be awarded not based solely on low dollar amount, but based on best overall value of proposals and desirable features. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals/bids received. Turnkey installation: Interested parties must provide and install a pre-aimed, pre-wired, fully functional lighting system. Proposals will also include all necessary installation of lighting equipment and all necessary electrical out from the existing electrical areas. Existing poles will be reused and existing fixtures will need to be removed and disposed of 2 by the Contractor (unless the District chooses to dispose of them). The District will retain the right to dispose of the existing fixtures, if it so chooses. Completion date: Bidders must provide and commit to their most timely delivery date. State number of weeks for delivery and installation from receipt of signed purchase agreement and definition of credit terms. Desired completion dates are in the range of March 1, 2023 through April 1, 2023. Insurance & Bonding: a 5% bid bond must accompany all proposals. Any proposal not supplying a bid bond will not be considered. Key points for consideration: Light levels, uniformities, fixture type, control of spill and glare, ease of maintenance, warranty, experience of manufacturer, local references, references of projects of this magnitude or greater, project completion date, delivery date, installation savings, life cycle electrical costs, and continuity/compatibility with existing structures and electrical. Complete and easily understood submittals are required as a part of the Request for Proposal process. Any documents pertaining to light levels, field layout, pole locations, structural issues, or any other key issues are to be specific to this project, this project and not from a "similar" project. In order to properly evaluate proposals certain information/documentation is required (noted within this document) as well as (if requested by owner) a presentation by bidder and manufacturer's representative to the district's representatives. Should a Bidder find discrepancies or omissions in the specifications or instructions, or should he/she be in doubt as to their true meaning, he/she should notify the District's Assistant Superintendent & General Counsel, Mr. John Troy (jtroy@mchs.net, 815- 521-4294). Who will, in turn, clarify such specifications and notify other Bidders of any material change or clarification. The District shall not be held responsible for oral instruction to Bidders. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to check the district website for any addendum to the bid specifications prior to submitting a bid to be assured that the bid is complete. No questions will be accepted 3 days prior to the bid opening. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
