The contract involves the purchase of all equipment, hardware & software for use in implementing an automated water meter reading system throughout the North Logan Water District system (Logan County). Also, if the District elects to add to the scope, the contract may involve the installation of all new meters. Presently, there are approximately 587 total meters, of various sizes, to be changed out in the system. Also, the District reserves the right to request the delivery of the meters be broken into a maximum of 4 shipments to space the payments out. If Bidder offers other products that also meets the project's needs and specifications, the Bidder may elect to turn in an additional bid for consideration, which includes a separate, unbound copy of the Bid Form along with the Bidder's Qualifications Statement, all in a separate sealed envelope. This project will be funded with District Reserve monies and possibly with Cleaner Water Program (CWP) grant funds administered through the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority (KIA). Applicable CWP requirements and provisions must be met by the Bidder and all subcontractors. Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate in this project.
