The replacement of existing cast iron retail distribution pipeline installed in the 1950s and 1960s. This project area will primarily be in Murray Utah. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The "2023 Distribution Pipeline Replacements - Old Farm and 5650 South Areas" project consists of abandoning approximately 6,000 feet of 6" and 8" cast iron pipe installed between the 1950s and 1970s. New 8" C-900 PVC will be installed in the area, along with new fire hydrants and valves. Existing services that are galvanized steel or black poly will be replaced with copper pipe of the same diameter and all existing services will be connected into the new water main. This work will also entail water main hot-tapping, excavation, asphalt pavement and concrete replacement. SITE OF WORK: The general sites of work are located within Millcreek City and Murray City. The specific roadways are Old Farm Ln. from 3900 South to Old Farm Rd., Old Farm Rd. from 570 East to Old Farm Way, 5650 South from 920 East to 1080 East, 5645 South from 1080 East to 1180 East, 1080 East (Marco Rd) from 5600 South to 5690 South, 1180 East from 5600 South to 5690 South.
