Plant 2 has emergency overflow weirs consisting of four reinforced concrete pipes that can discharge into the Santa Ana River through two concrete wingwall structures. This project will include rehabilitation of concrete and rebar of the wingwalls and foundation slabs. Because both of wingwalls are located by the Santa Ana River, this work will require permits from various agencies. The project is included in the Orange County Sanitation District 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
