For On-Call Chemical Spill Response and Cleanup The City of Raleigh Solid Waste Services Department collects residential garbage, recycling, and yard waste throughout the City of Raleigh. The objective of this RFP is to solicit proposals from the private sector for the cost of services to respond to potential chemical spills in order to prevent contamination and to ensure the City of Raleigh remains in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. The City is interested in creating the best combination of partnerships with a qualified service provider who can respond quickly and maintain communication. The selected firm will be required to be available on week days, weekends, and select holidays (Good Friday, Juneteenth, Veteran's Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve). In the event that a spill event were to occur during those hours the selected contractor would provide documentation throughout the clean-up process, including a summary report detailing the clean-up efforts and what further actions (if any) are required. The City expects the selected firm will serve as the sole contractor for the services associated with the contractor. Proposers must submit: A. one (1) signed original; B. one (1) electronic version of the signed proposal and; C. and (4) copies of the signed proposal. The electronic version of the Proposal must be submitted as a viewable and printable Adobe Portable Document File (PDF) on a USB Flash Drive. Both hard copy and electronic versions must be received by the City on or before the RFP due date and time provided in RFP Timeline (Section 1.3). At the end of the Contract's current term, the City shall have the option, in its sole discretion, to renew the Contract on the same terms and conditions for up to a total of two (2) additional one-year terms. The City will give the Contractor written notice of its intent whether to exercise each option no later than ninety (90) days before the end of the Contract's then-current term.
