Renovation of a fire / police facility in Coquille, Oregon. Working plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
As of June 7, 2023, a construction manager/general contractor has been selected. A construction timeline has not been established yet. *The previous closed solicitation is listed below for reference. The seismic retrofit of Coquille Fire Station includes the rehabilitation of the existing lateral system components to meet the requirements for "Immediate Occupancy" as outlined in ASCE 41-17. This will be accomplished by adding to or altering the existing structure and lateral load path to the building foundation. The addition and elevation of two apparatus bays will be included in the project. Construction for the seismic retrofit and addition will be done concurrently. Funding for the addition will be separate from the seismic retrofit. The Owner will serve as the contracting agency for the project. The Owner has chosen the Construction Manager / General Contractor (CM/GC) project approach over the more traditional design-bid-build in order to obtain the earliest occupancy of the Coquille Fire Station at a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). In addition, the project sequencing, scheduling and logistics required to complete the work within the earliest reasonable time can best be achieved by the CM/GC approach. It is the intent of the Owner to enter into a contract with the selected CM/GC which will include pre-construction services with a GMP for the entire scope of work. Construction costs for the seismic retrofit of this project shall not exceed $2,057,005.00. Additional owner provided funding is available for the scope of work beyond the seismic retrofit. P
