Renovation of a multi-residential development in North Bergen, New Jersey. Working plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

As of April 21,2023, Project will rebid but no definite date yet. According to Drawings and Specifications prepared by Lothrop Associates Architects Inc., and described in general as: All labor, material and equipment associated with the removal and replacement of fire pumps, associated equipment / controls and related work at the following sites Edward A. Lawler Towers (6131 Grand Avenue) - Terrace Apartment (6800 Columbia Avenue) The contract will be awarded after review is complete. The Owner or Architect, within ten (10) days of opening, will notify all interested parties as to their decision. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Housing Authority of the Township of North Bergen, United States Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent of the Bid shall be submitted by each Bidder. The surety company must also be licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey. Attention is called to the provision of Equal Opportunity Employment and Prevailing Wages for payments not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Specification. Women and Minority Owned Business Contractors are encouraged to submit Bids. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of Bids without the consent of the Housing Authority of the Township of North Bergen. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder. The Base Bid work of this project, as outlined, shall be completed in a period of One Hundred Eighty (180) Calendar Days. Work will be phased and coordinated to minimize the down time of the existing fire protections system in each building. Contract Documents may be obtained at the Owners Office, Housing Authority of the Township of North Bergen, 6121 Grand Avenue, North Bergen, New Jersey 07047; Telephone No.: (201) 868-8605 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Contact Ravi Varma, Modernization Coordinator at (201) 868-8605 Extension 28 to arrange pick up of Contract Documents. Plans and Specification must be picked up or mailed deposits received by the Architect must be accompanied by a check made payable to Lothrop Associates Architects Inc. in the amount of $50.00, to cover the cost of postage and handling if mailing is desired. Bid Documents will become available for pick-up.
