The County of Shasta (the County), through its Department of Support Services, Purchasing Unit, invites responses to a Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide professional design services for the preparation of prototype Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) plans which, after having been pre-plan checked and packaged for permit-readiness, would be made free to use for County residents, homeowners and contractors. At least six (6) base floorplans that offer studio, one-bedroom or two-bedroom options and with add-on and modification options are sought for units ranging in size from as small as an Efficiency Dwelling Unit to a maximum of 1,000-square-feet. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
