Project work includes paint pavement markings to stripe and re-stripe pavement markings throughout the City of Moline. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This project consists of the striping and re-striping of roadways, bike paths, on-street parking stalls, parking lots, etc. for the City of Moline. For bidding purposes, the Contractor should acknowledge the project will encompass the entire city boundaries and that the work shall be done in several phases. The 2023 Pavement Marking Program will additionally include the repainting of downtown parking stalls and painting of newly designated bicycle lane routes (road diet locations). The contractor should also acknowledge that the road diet locations will require layout and pavement marking removal. No extra payment shall be made for pavement marking layout. The Contractor shall continuously make progress with the various locations in this program. The Contractor shall complete all Downtown areas by June 9, 2023. The Downtown area shall include all work inside the quadrant defined by 7th Avenue to the Mississippi River and 12th Street to 19th Street. All other locations shall be completed by September 8, 2023. All bids shall be accompanied by a guaranty of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Guarantees shall be in the form of a certified check or cashier's check made payable to the City of Moline or a surety bid bond made out on the attached LOCAL AGENCY PROPOSAL BID BOND, BLR 12230, form. All bids shall remain valid for a period of 45 days. The undersigned agrees not to withdraw or modify his bid for said period. By signing SIGNATURES, page 6 of BLR 12200, the contractor certifies that portion of PROPOSAL, page 3 of BLR 12200, which states that the contractor is not barred from bidding on the contract as a result of a violation State laws prohibiting bid-rigging or bidrotating. A Performance, Labor, Material and Maintenance Bond (1-year), in the full amount of the contract, shall be furnished by the lowest bidder upon receipt of Notice of Intent of Award. The form of the bond shall be that furnished by the City and the surety shall be acceptable to the City.
