All project work shall be substantially completed within the stated timeframe. This project is subject to liquidated damages as prescribed in the project manual. The Contractor shall have the option to start work during the spring of 2023 provided all field work is completed by no later than April 30, 2023 or wait and start work on or after August 14, 2023. No work shall be completed between May 1, 2023 and August 13, 2023 due to ongoing airport operations. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check on any bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to North Central Missouri Regional Airport Authority, for not less than five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, or by a bid bond secured by an approved surety or sureties, payable to the owner, for not less than five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate performance and payment bonds each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price at the time of contract execution All proposals submitted in accordance with the instructions presented herein will be subject to evaluation. Bids may be held by the North Central Missouri Regional Airport Authority for a period not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of conducting the bid evaluation.
