Teton County (Owner) is seeking a Contractor to process/bale, remove and recycle stockpiled scrap metal at the Teton County Trash Transfer Station. There are approximately 400 to 600 net tons of scrap metal at the transfer station. The facility is located approximately six miles south of the Town of Jackson, Wyoming at the County's Horsethief Canyon Trash Transfer Station site. The proposed price shall include processing, hauling, and post-processing cleanup of the site with a magnet and be provided in net tons. The owner also has approximately15 net tons of tin can bundles (TCBs) for pickup and recycling located at the recycling center at 3270 S. Adams Canyon Road, Jackson, WY. TCB's will be ready for pickup after February 6th and must be picked up within 30 days of the bid award. Please provide a "picked up" price in net tons for TCBs. Scrap metal clean-up must commence within 14 days of contract approval (February 7th, 2023) and be completed within 21 working days of beginning the cleanup. An extension may be granted upon the Owner's approval. Shall weigh both empty and full loads at the Teton County Trash Transfer Station and receive a scale ticket for each load. - Shall submit a copy of the Teton County scale ticket, along with the receiving scale ticket with payment. - Upon completion of the processing/baling, the Contractor shall clean up and remove the remaining scrap metal with a magnet. Any remaining scrap metal not baled and removed shall be staged/piled on the east side of the scrap metal area. Scaling of outbound loads must be done during Teton County Transfer Station hours of operation. Scaling of outbound loads after hours is subject to the Owner's approval. If the successful bidder has not done work for Teton County in the past, a list of references and qualifications may be required. Each proposal will be evaluated based on price and schedule availability. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept one bid.
