As of March 1, 2023, the owner has selected a construction manager. Spokane Public Schools is requesting proposals for the General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) for the Adams Elementary School project using the procedure permitted under Chapter 39.10 of the RCW, as amended, for selected school projects for public works contracting in lieu of sealed bids. Final selection of the General Contractor/Construction Manager for this project is dependent upon approval from Spokane Public Schools Board of Directors. The project will construct a new 60,000 square foot elementary school facility. Design phase activities include involvement of General Contractor/Construction Manager to: (1) assist in development of schedules, cost estimates, value analysis, quality and phasing the work effort well before construction can start and provide added assurance that the project will be completed on time, and (2) be involved in the design stage of the project to provide services to address constructability, sub-bid contracting strategies, site constraints, and neighborhood concerns, staging, safety and the minimization of disruptions. The Request for Proposal outlines the information necessary to understand this selection process and the documentation required for submitting proposals The RFP numbers and submittal date must appear on the outside of all proposals submitted. Any firm failing to submit its proposal in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Request for Proposal may be considered non-responsive.
