The Nisqually Tribe is planning to install Solar on the new Elders subdivision. We are currently planning to build 10 homes in 2023. The new homes will be approximately 1100 square feet. The roofs will be a lean-to style on both the house and attached garage. The bid will require that the winning contractor train the Tribes building department personnel for ALL phases of the solar installation. This will include but not limited to the planning stages of how many and what lay out for the panels, what material will be required for the installation, roof rack installation, wiring, use of smart apps (if applicable), etc. The building department personnel will not be a financial consideration to the winning contractor. The Electricians will have state approved licenses and the proper supervision ratio required by State rules and regulations. The following is a list of requirements: o Monocrystalline solar panels o Q cell, Panasonic Evervolt, or Silfab SIL-410BG o Solar Edge o String Inverter, Power Optimizers o Inverters need to be capable of connecting to Battery backup in the future o Prior to the rough-in of Electrical wiring for the houses, the solar contractor will provide any information needed to provide any piping or other requirements that will prevent any cutting of wires or penetrations of the houses. Plans for the houses can be provided or seen at the Tribes building department. If there are questions that may not have been covered, a meeting of all bidders can be scheduled at the Nisqually Tribe.
