EXPANSION: New Alignment/Bridge Construction of a new roadway (extension of 179th Street) will provide future East - West connectivity between CSAH 31 (Pilot Knop Road) and Trunk Highway 3 in Lakeville and Empire Township. This new East - West alignment includes a bridge crossing over North Creek. City of Lakeville will construct this project. Dakota County will participate in the costs for the structure crossing of North Creek. The project is included in the Dakota County 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of January 11, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
