This Project includes the following Work: The Owner is proceeding with construction of the East Delivery System (EDS) Waterline Relocation Project (The Project). The project is predicated by TxDOT's need to widen FM 1593 adjacent to the Formosa Plastics Plant North of Point Comfort. The Project will include approximately 3,240 LF of 57-inch waterline relocation and approximately 8,919 LF of 36-inch waterline relocation, with applicable removal and abandonment of existing water lines shown in the Drawings. The Project will have the following facilities: 1. The 57-inch waterline relocation will begin approximately 3.3 miles North of the intersection of FM 1593 and Highway 35 and re-connect to the existing 57-inch waterline 3,000 ft South. 2. The 36-inch waterline relocation will begin approximately 2.2 miles North of the intersection of FM 1593 and Highway 35 and connect to the existing 36-inch adjacent to the Pond C meter vault site, 10,000 ft South. 3. The construction method for most of the 57-inch and 36-inch waterlines will be open cut. The alignment will require trenchless crossings below paved access roads leading to the Formosa Plastics Plant. 4. Includes 4 valve vaults for proposed butterfly valves and gate valves along the proposed waterline alignments. 5. Includes installation of two 36-inch size-on-size tapping sleeves and valves, 36-inch line stops with bypasses, and 57-inch line stops with bypasses. Offerors should take note that the ductile iron pipe, fittings, and valves were procured under a separate contract and will be assigned to the successful offeror as part of this contract.
