Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Comox, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
\The Community Center is used by the public and houses a fitness center, meeting rooms, squash courts, and gymnasiums. The Community Centre is operational 7 days/week from 6 AM to 9:30 PM. The lighting in the facility consists of outdoor CFL lighting, a combination of T12s, T5s, pot lights incandescent, and LED in the interior of the building. The mechanical systems and equipment consist of the following: Geothermal cooling and heating system, with Multistack water source heat recovery chiller, provides heating geo source. Three (3) condensing wall mount Viessmann boilers for heat injection. Gas-fired RTU serving the gymnastics The old side of the facility has a gas-fired, atmospheric water heater located in the electrical room. The new side of the facility has an electric heater serving the kitchen and sinks. Alerton Direct Digital Controls (DDC) system for Building Automation System (BAS) Plug loads consist of computers and miscellaneous (by end-user - phones, tablets, etc). There are no process loads in this facility. Improvements under consideration: LED Lighting Upgrades interior, exterior, parking lot Gas-Fired Rooftop Unit (RTU) Replacement with Dual-Fuel ASHP Controls Optimization Gas-Fired Domestic Hot Water (DHW) Heater Upgrade to CO2 ASHP
