It is the intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to describe the requirements for the removal of Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs) located within the NYS Thruway Authority's four Divisions. The tanks to be removed are ConVault, 250 to 6,000 gallon diesel or unleaded fuel tanks. The Contractor may be required to vacuum out up to approximately 500 gallons of remaining fuel from the tanks for proper off-site disposal. Contractor shall remove the concrete from around the tanks as required, clean and remove the tanks for disposal, and provide proper documentation for demolition for submission to the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). No on-site cutting of the tank will be allowed. Work must be done according to all applicable codes and regulations. The NYS Thruway will provide for a crane to be on-site and will load the empty tank onto the Contractor's trailer for hauling.
