Renovation of a municipal facility in Windsor, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,850-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.

To pre-qualify General Contractors for the design and construction of renovations to the existing 350 City Hall Square (CHS) West building (the Facility) to accommodate the permanent offices of the Economic Development & Innovation (ED&I) Department. The facility will remain operational for the duration of construction. Some after hours work is anticipated. The area to be renovated is approx. 3,850 sq ft. The construction work is expected to include, but is not limited to: 1. Renovations to the existing expansion space on the 4th floor of 350 CHS to allow for the following: a. Office spaces - approximately 10 offices, 6 cubicles b. Foyer with seating area c. Kitchenette d. Large Meeting Room e. Small Meeting Room f. Collaborative space/seating area g. Business Centre - photocopy room h. Open Meeting Area/Table - high top touch down area to seat 6-8 people 2. Mechanical, electrical, security and communication upgrades/modifications throughout, complete with commissioning services. Architecttura Inc. has been retained by the City to provide consulting and design services. The design phase is currently underway and construction is anticipated to commence in Spring 2023. TIMELINE: As of February 15, 2023, four (4) firms have prequalified. As of March 29, 2023, the Invited RFP / tender to the prequalified firms has yet to be issued. Project is on hold pending owner's decision to proceed. RFQ documents originally stated construction was to begin spring 2023; fall 2023 completion. Questions must be received no later than Thursday, January 19, 2023.
