A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Cocke County Board of Education is seeking bids for Bridgeport Elementary School Covered Patio. Design and construct new exterior patio area tying to existing building structure. Construction to be in conformance to local and IBC building code regulations. The Cocke County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids or to take the most advantageous to the Board. It is the policy of the Cocke County School System not to discriminate on the basis of sex, color, race, national origin, creed, age, marital status, or disability in its Educational programs, ac- tivities or employment policies as required the Title VI and VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Title IX of the 1972 Educational Amend- ments and Section 504 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973. 1) Present a designed layout of sufficient detail to owner for review incorporating listed construction elements in construction. 2) Demolition - Items in area of construction to be removed and properly disposed. Excess removal of side walks existing building finishes to be properly replaced tying back to new construction. 3) Earthwork - Removal and stockpile of topsoil, excavation to subgrade elevations, removal and replacement of unsatisfactory soils, compaction of subgrade and disposal of excess earthen spoils from construction. 4) Concrete Foundation - Turn down slab foundation including capillary stone, vapor barrier, steel reinforced perimeter footing, and field slab thickness of 4" 4K psi ready mix concrete with light broom finish. Concrete flooring shall be placed to drain away from existing building no less than 1/16" per foot and be sealed upon finishing. 5) Building Construction - Steel post and wood frame construction tying to existing building with 5/8" plywood decking, underlayment and taped sealed 29-gauge steel PBR roofing panels and associated metal flashings to cover exposed wooden framing and watertight terminations at exiting building. Low eave gutters and downspouts to existing drainage ways. 6) Exposed ceiling-vinyl soffit 7) Electrical - New circuit from existing control panel to serve installation of lighting and two ceiling fans. 8) Landscaping - Placement and contouring of topsoil, reseeding and mulching of disturbed areas from construction.
