Fences will provide access control to people traveling on foot up G Road to Graff Road and across the North Fork Subdivision of the Union Pacific Railroad. A strategically placed, chain link security fence will discourage trespassing and suspicious activity--it will also clearly define private property boundaries for pedestrians who might be confused about public property around the Uncompahgre River. Fences will reduce the ability for people to trespass and should also decrease the ability and community calls for suspicious activity, disturbance, wanted persons, fire, littering, illegal burning, animal control and drug violations. This will include chain link security fencing. The fencing requirements will require installation of five (5) gates in certain designated locations for water accesses six (6) feet in height and twelve (12) feet in width, which may include walk-in gates. The gates will be required to be chain link construction. The fencing will be constructed of security chain-link portions six (6) feet in height. All work to be performed on private property. Delta County will not consider any bid if the Pre Bid site visit was not completed on the scheduled date and time as indicated. If you or a company representative attened the Pre-Bid Event on January 19, 2023 you are not required to attend this one but can if you would like.
