Bids shall be addressed to the St. John the Baptist Parish Purchasing and Procurement. Bid envelopes shall be sealed, display the name and address of the bidder, and be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope Parish wide Street Ditch Drainage Improvements. Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. Contract will be awarded from date of recorded contract until December 31, 2023. This is an annual project. Questions and comments regarding this Bid must be submitted in writing to St. John the Baptist Parish, Purchasing & Procurement Department, ATTN: Peter Montz, 1811 West Airline Highway, LaPlace, LA 70068 or via e-mail to p.montz@Stjohn-la.gov no later than 4:00 P.M. local time on February 9, 2023. The bid must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and must be in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana. Certificates of Liability Insurance, Vehicle Insurance and Workmens Compensation Insurance will be required.
The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, in the amount of $1,000,000.00 to be held until December 31, 2023.
St. John the Baptist Parish Council, being a government agency, is exempt from all sales tax. Therefore, the amount you bid should contain no sales tax.
St. John the Baptist Parish reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and not waive any irregularities or informalities incidental thereto, and to accept any bid which the Council feels serves their best interest.
