The projects are referred to as Platte County 2023 Asphalt and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of: C-71(731B) approximately 0.6 miles of 8 asphaltic concrete, type SPR on subgrade preparation; C-71(732) approximately 0.16 miles of 1 Cold Milling, Class 3 with 3 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR ; C-71(733) approximately 1.3 miles of Cold Milling, Class 1 with 3 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR ; C-71(819B) approximately 0.6 miles of 9 asphaltic concrete, type SPR on subgrade preparation; C-71(855) approximately 3.6 miles of full depth pulverization and 2 Cold Milling, Class 3 with 6 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR ; C-71(857) approximately 0.4 miles of Cold Milling, Class 1 with 4 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR ; C-71(858) approximately 0.3 miles of 1 Cold Milling, Class 3 with 3 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR ; C-71(859) approximately 0.7 miles of 1 Cold Milling, Class 3 with 3 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR ; C-71(874) approximately 2.6 miles of 1 Cold Milling, Class 3 with 3 asphaltic concrete overlay, type SPR ; C-71(875B) approximately 500 feet of 8 asphaltic concrete, type SPR on subgrade preparation. Copies of the Bid Documents and Specifications are open to public inspection at the office of the Platte County Highway Superintendent, 2610 14th Street, Columbus NE 68601. Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the County Treasurer of Platte County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and End of Construction date with its Bid Proposal . The desired completion date for all other sites is November 30, 2023. The Contractor will be allowed fifteen (15) calendar days for C-71(731B), ten (10) calendar days for C-71(732), twenty-five (25) calendar days for C-71(733), twenty (20) calendar days for C-71(819B), forty-five (45) calendar days for C-71(855), ten (10) calendar days for C-70(857), fifteen (15) calendar days for C- 71(858), twenty (20) calendar days for C-71(859), thirty (30) calendar days for C-71(874), and ten (10) calendar days for C-71(875B) for completion after beginning work at each site. The completion for each site will be the earlier of the date indicated in the bid proposal, the actual start date plus the allotted calendar days, or the required completion date for that site. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to acceptance by the Platte County Board of Supervisors.
