Per the owner, as of March 6, 2024, this project is in the assessment and conceptual design phase. The owner states that they do not expect construction for approximately two years. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ........ Jefferson County is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms to develop plans, salmon habitat restoration designs, floodplain maps and related documents for two portions of the lower Dosewallips River floodplain upstream of Brinnon, Washington. In their proposals, firms should demonstrate a balance of knowledge and experience within fisheries biology, civil engineering, fluvial geomorphology, hydraulic modeling, restoration project permitting, and other technical fields. The design team should include licensed professional engineers and licensed professional engineering geologists with experience in salmon habitat restoration in the Dosewallips River and/ or comparable watersheds in Washington State. The overall project will be collaborative in nature and involve periodic online and in person meetings with landowners, agencies and the public. The anticipated Period of Performance lasts 18 months, until December 1, 2024. Answers will be provided in writing to the requestor, or provided in amendment(s) to the solicitation. The final date to submit questions is January 27, 2023 at 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. As of January 17, 2023, the due date has been confirmed with the owner.
