Description: State Project Number 02FR0025 Improve Power Factor, Freeman Office Building This solicitation has been designated to be awarded to a State of Minnesota Targeted Group (TG), Economically Disadvantaged (ED), or Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. ONLY responses received from Contractors that are TG/ED/VO certified through the Department of Administration, Office of Equity in Procurement, will be considered. The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: Electrical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1.) All equipment, labor, and permits required to satisfactorily complete the following improvements related to improving the power factor levels at the existing Freeman Office Building to at least 90%. Includes providing a new 400 KVAR automatically switched detuned power factor correction system, modifying an existing switchboard distribution section to accommodate a new 800 amp fused distribution switch, installing a new split core CT on the load side of the existing switchboard main overcurrent protective device, and provide all associated feeder conduit and wiring and interface conduit and wiring. 2.) All work to be performed on off-hour/premium time. Additional Description: The Section 00 41 73 Prime Contractor Response Form (Response Form), which includes the attachments listed in the project manual table of contents, is posted within the VirtuBid area of the portal. The Response Form must be downloaded, completed, and uploaded with the bid before it can be posted. This solicitation includes qualification requirements. Attachment C of the Response Form contains the qualification requirements for the solicitation. Qualification requirements include, but are not limited to: Responding company has completed as a Prime Contractor, not as a subcontractor, the work for at least 2 contracts which have achieved Substantial Completion since April 15, 2017, for construction of electrical remodeling an existing building. Each of these contracts MUST have had a construction value of $50,000 or greater. OR In lieu of Responding company's projects, Responder may provide on the form below up to 2 qualifying projects completed by the Project Manager while employed by others which have achieved Substantial Completion April 15, 2017, for remodeling an existing electrical project in a building, and $50,000 or greater.
