Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot in Minot, North Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
All Bids are to be submitted on the basis of cash payment for the Work and Materials necessary to complete the project. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor's license and bid security. The bid security must be in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid and must be in the form of a bidder's bond. A bidder's bond must be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of the award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and the bid bond and any condition of the governing body. A countersignature of a bid bond is not required under this section. If a successful bidder does not execute a contract within the ten days allowed, the bidder's bond must be forfeited to the Owner and the project awarded to the next lowest responsible bidder. Bidders must be licensed for the full amount of the bid as required by section 43-07-12 of the North Dakota Century Code. No Bid may be read or considered if it does not fully comply with the requirements of Section 48-01.2-05 of the North Dakota Century Code. The Owner reserves the right to hold all Bids for 30 days, to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in any Bid, to accept the Bid deemed in the best interest of the Owner, and to rebid the project until a satisfactory bid is received. There shall be endorsed upon the outside of the envelope containing the Bid, the following: 1. "South Prairie School District Parking Lot Reconstruction, Project Number R22011" 2. The name of the person, firm, corporation, or joint venture submitting the Bid. 3. The Bidder's Contractor's License or Contractor's License Renewal Number. 4. Acknowledgement of the Addenda, if any. Any deficient Bid received will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately. All work shall be substantially complete by August 4th, 2023. All work shall be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with the General Conditions by September 1st, 2023. Should the Contractor fail to complete its obligations under the Contract within the time required herein or within such extra time as may have been granted by formal extensions of time approved by the Owner, there will be deducted from any amount due to the Contractor the sum of $1,000 per day for each and every calendar day that the completion of the Work is delayed. The Contractor and his Surety will be liable for any excess. Such payment will be as and for liquidated damages and not as a penalty. Description: Generally, the Work covered by the Plans and Specifications for South Prairie School District Parking Lot Reconstruction consists of the materials, labor, tools, and equipment required for the construction of the parking lot expansion and the reconstruction of the South parking lot. The work includes approximately removal of 5,000 SY of asphalt pavement, 4,250 Ton of aggregate base course, 2,500 Ton of asphalt pavement, 10,000 LF of pavement striping, lighting system, and other incidentals as necessary to complete the project.
